Dr Welton worked in the TIA & Minor Stroke Clinic at the University Hospital Of North Staffordshire (UHNS). The TIA Clinic was awarded the 'Chief Executives Special Award' in 2012. He also runs the 'Funny Turns Clinic' for both Staffordshire CCG's. This clinic was runner up in The Vision Awards in 2011 in the 'Service Development' Category. Dr Welton was runner up in the NAPC 'Clinical Lead of the Year' award in 2012.
